We all use cinema, television and the audiovisual world in general as a means of entertainment, but the seventh art is also a perfect key to educate and teach human lessons. There are many films that unintentionally teach us great values.

Films that can be used to teach teenagers how to deal with hardship

Teenagers are one of the audiences that consume the most films and they have at their disposal an endless number of movies that educate them about some principles that they can apply in their daily lives. One of them can be how to face difficulties, something that, as they are in full growth and evolution, sometimes they do not know how to manage it. Here are some movies that can teach them a lesson and help them face difficulties from a different perspective and with positivity.

In search of happiness

It is the mythical movie starring Will Smith and his son Jaden, in which they are father and son as well. The protagonist has just lost his job and separated from his wife, having a present and a dark future ahead. However, he overcomes the difficulties and pulls his son and himself through hard work, perseverance and self-improvement.

Little Women

The famous adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel is an example of how to face difficulties. This film brings together four sisters and a mother who have to survive the obstacles ahead of them in a world that treats them rather badly and without the help of the head of the family. It also shows how, having a difficult life, one can be a generous, honest and empathetic person.

Life is beautiful

When we all hear this title, we know what movie it is. In this case Roberto Benigni plays a Jewish bookseller with a positive and happy personality. He ends up being a victim of Nazism, entering a concentration camp with his son, but he tries to make life easier for the little boy, creating a bubble of happiness and positivity to keep the child's innocence while they are there.

An impossible dream

A play that tells the story of a white woman who adopts an orphaned and homeless black boy. She educates him, giving him everything she has, and together they manage to turn him into a true professional soccer player after overcoming the obstacles that life presents him.

Our professional team at Logos International School can offer you some more films on how to help your teenager face difficulties from a positive point of view.
