Sport Education

One of our fundamental pillars encouraged here at Logos is the practice of sports which, we believe strengthens the values of effort, respect and camaraderie, so necessary in today's world.

Sport helps children not only to be healthy and develop physically and mentally, but also to interact in a healthy way with other children.

To be physically fit is to be emotionally healthy. What's more, to instill in a child the habit of practicing sports from his/her early childhood, could possibly prevent problems, such as obesity or a mistaken self-perception, when reaching adolescence.

Logos International School enjoys more than 40,000 meters of sports facilities where a large number disciplines can be practiced: tennis, paddle, swimming, football, basketball, beach volleyball, fencing, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, ...

Here, children can find and practice a sport that they like and enjoy. Our objective is to motivate and encourage our pupils to practice a sport of their own choice, an activity they feel comfortable with and not push them to take up any activity that may be too demanding or disagreeable. Sometimes, when initiating, it can hard for new members to pick up pace, but with the support and security of parents and teachers, and personal determination a child will soon feel confident and eager.

For children sport is, above all, play and fun while for parents observing their child's enjoyment, they are reassured that physical exercise practiced on a regular basis, can prevent many health issues that manifest themselves in adolescence and adulthood, such as obesity or osteoporosis and help overcome other physical problems like asthma.

Sport plays an important role in the correct development of bones, muscles and cardiovascular fitness. It also has benefits far beyond the tangible. Exercise helps children to have more confidence in themselves, promotes their self-esteem and helps them to interact and relate better with others.
